Site Operations Manager – San Francisco

About the role

Plasmidsaurus is expanding its genomics platform and needs a Site Operations Manager to keep its San Francisco laboratory and office running smoothly. You will ensure scientists have the resources they need, maintain a safe and organized environment, and deliver an excellent experience for visitors and employees.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day laboratory operations, ensuring the space is organized, fully stocked, and ready for uninterrupted sequencing.
• Manage laboratory inventory and consumable levels in partnership with Procurement.
• Coordinate deliveries, equipment acquisition, installation, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
• Support laboratory budgeting and local operational spending.
• Partner with lab teams to identify and resolve operational issues before they impact work.
• Execute BSL‑2 safety procedures, conduct inspections, and maintain documentation to keep the lab inspection‑ready.

Required profile

• Hands‑on operator who notices what needs fixing and takes ownership quickly.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to keep the site reliable and easy to work in.
• Effective collaborator with Procurement, facilities, and laboratory teams.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, BSL‑2 compliant environment.
