Service Technician – Union Knoxville Student Living

About the role

We are looking for a Service Technician to join the Union Knoxville Student Living community. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common‑area amenities meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with company policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final inspections.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Perform routine grounds and amenity upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs or signage.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for tracking and compliance.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.
• Participate in safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established procedures, safety standards and local code requirements.
• Attention to detail in documentation and inventory management.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a fast‑paced residential environment.
