Service Technician – Montage (Marquis Hills)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to join the Marquis Hills property team in Williamsburg. The role focuses on maintaining the physical condition, safety, and functionality of the building, grounds, and common areas, ensuring a high standard of living for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking of service requests.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and inventory management.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and operating cleaning equipment.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with residents, vendors, and supervisors.
