Service Technician

About the role

Denver Industrial Pumps, a SunSource company, is a full‑service distributor of pumps and related equipment serving a wide range of markets such as oil & gas, industrial, municipal and more. The Service Technician works in the Denver shop, performing repair, rebuild and custom fabrication of a broad portfolio of pump types.

Key responsibilities

• Tear down, evaluate and repair a variety of pump models including AODD, centrifugal, submersible, progressive cavity and magnetic drive pumps.
• Install and inspect mechanical seals and packing arrangements for both repair and new installations.
• Machine impellers to precise dimensions and perform end‑mill operations on shaft sleeves.
• Design, weld and fabricate custom base plates, guards and PVC pump systems to meet customer specifications.
• Perform basic AC electrical wiring, read schematics, test and hook up motors.
• Assist with field repairs, pump installations and provide customer training and support.
• Maintain shop equipment, conduct preventive maintenance and restock tools and supplies.
• Collaborate with sales staff on customer issues and liaise with vendors for material pricing.
