Senior Tax Advisor / Tax Manager

About the role

We are a fast‑growing, 100% remote CPA firm that specializes in real‑estate tax services for investors and entrepreneurs. As a Senior Tax Advisor / Tax Manager you will lead tax planning and advisory work, serve as the primary client contact, and mentor junior staff in a virtual, autonomous environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client relationships, communicating proactively via email, Zoom, Loom, and phone.
• Create, deliver, and periodically update tailored tax plans for real‑estate investors and small business owners.
• Research complex tax issues, cite the Internal Revenue Code and supporting sources, and recommend resolutions.
• Coordinate tax preparation with the prep team to ensure strategies are implemented.
• Act as subject‑matter expert in real‑estate taxation and related transactions.
• Provide technical guidance and training to less‑experienced staff.
• Assist with firm projects such as process improvements, proposals, and training materials.
• Maintain accurate project information and client notes in the firm’s project‑management system.
• Adhere to AICPA professional ethics and client confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred).
• CPA or EA certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant tax experience, including at least 2 years as a Senior Tax Associate or similar role.
• Deep understanding of real‑estate taxation strongly preferred.
• Strong client‑relationship skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
