Senior Supervisor, Engineering

About the role

CooperVision is seeking a Senior Supervisor to lead a team of engineers and technicians supporting packaging operations. The role focuses on driving quality, cost, and efficiency improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Lead Operations Project Engineering initiatives, from planning through execution and resource coordination.
• Drive production engineering projects aimed at quality, efficiency, reliability, and waste reduction.
• Translate site priorities into actionable engineering initiatives and support strategic objectives.
• Develop and mentor team members through training, coaching, and succession planning.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and technical records.
• Recommend and implement equipment modifications and process improvements.
• Prepare technical justifications for capital equipment projects and coordinate vendor activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of packaging operations, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across operations, maintenance, quality, and other functions.
• Ability to develop talent and foster a culture of safety and quality.
