About the role

Join 7AI's core R&D team as a Senior Software Architect, shaping the technical foundation of a platform that automates the non‑human work of security operations. You will design reliable, scalable systems and integrate emerging AI tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve system architecture across the platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to design systems that balance fast delivery with long‑term flexibility.
• Lead technical decisions, weighing trade‑offs among performance, cost, and complexity.
• Translate ambiguous business or product needs into clear technical approaches and system designs.
• Identify architectural gaps, technical debt, and scaling bottlenecks, and resolve them proactively.
• Mentor engineers and act as a technical thought partner across teams.
• Evaluate and apply AI tools, frameworks, and workflows to accelerate product development.
• Track advances in AI and help the team adopt valuable innovations.
• Foster a culture of curiosity and experimentation with AI throughout the organization.

Required profile

• 20+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in system design and architecture.
• Proven track record designing and evolving distributed, scalable systems.
• Broad AWS cloud architecture experience, including complex data‑plane and control‑plane designs.
• Ability to dive deep technically while influencing broadly across teams.
• Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex systems clearly.
• Experience with data pipelines, highly scalable systems, and cloud‑native architectures and services.
