About the role
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) projects for our Orlando office. The role combines technical expertise, project leadership, and client interaction to ensure successful delivery of road and bridge construction work.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day CEI project operations, ensuring compliance with contracts, plans, specifications, regulations and safety standards.
- Provide technical guidance, interpret plans and specifications, resolve field issues and document decisions clearly.
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, CPM schedules and claim packages, delivering well‑supported recommendations.
- Maintain CEI documentation, material records and correspondence to meet contract and quality standards.
- Lead and coordinate project staff, conduct project meetings and liaise with contractors, clients and stakeholders.
- Oversee project budgets, track labor usage and support financial forecasting.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with clients, partners and other stakeholders.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to business development activities.
Required profile
- Engineering degree and registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida (or ability to obtain within six months).
- Minimum six years of engineering experience, including at least two years on major road or bridge projects.
- Strong technical writing ability and experience with FDOT Advanced MOT.
- Completion of CTQP QC Manager Course and Critical Structures Construction Issues self‑study course.
- Willingness to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
