Senior Production Planner – Robotics

About the role

We are looking for a senior production planner to drive end‑to‑end planning excellence for Amazon Robotics. The role combines strategic implementation of modern planning technology with hands‑on schedule optimisation to support rapid product development and high‑volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain production schedules considering equipment, labor, and material constraints.
• Perform sequence optimisation to minimise changeovers and maximise throughput.
• Develop and maintain short‑, medium‑ and long‑term capacity models.
• Identify and resolve capacity bottlenecks through constraint analysis and simulation.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenishment strategies to optimise working capital.
• Participate in the S&OP process to align supply plans with demand forecasts.
• Release and manage work orders throughout their lifecycle.
• Set up and maintain Bills of Distribution and Sourcing Rules.
• Leverage planning systems and analytics to generate optimised supply plans.
• Develop capacity‑modeling tools using SQL, Python and visualisation platforms.
• Monitor KPIs such as schedule adherence, inventory turns and supplier delivery.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement and logistics on supply‑plan execution.
• Partner with engineering on routings and resource rates for capacity planning.
• Communicate supply‑related risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
• Support new‑product introduction projects with supply‑planning requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production planning and supply‑chain optimisation.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to use data, simulation and analytics to solve capacity constraints.
• Experience participating in S&OP processes and working cross‑functionally.
• Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives and communicate risks to stakeholders.
