Senior Product Manager – Data & Integration Platform

About the role

COVU is a venture‑backed insurtech startup building an AI‑native workspace for independent insurance agencies. We are looking for a senior technical product manager to own COVU Connect, the data‑integration backbone that powers our internal tools, AI agents, and automation workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the integration and service layer that powers COVU OS and AI agents.
• Architect and maintain the Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Access Layer, ensuring a single source of truth for policy and account data.
• Design, document, and govern internal API contracts for services such as COI generation, rating, and policy retrieval.
• Prevent platform fragmentation by guiding product teams to build on Connect rather than creating parallel pipelines.
• Harmonize data from Agency Management Systems, IVANS feeds, and carrier integrations, translating legacy formats into clean, observable records.
• Partner closely with engineering, acting as the technical proxy for the VP of Product and providing mapping documentation to keep teams unblocked.

Required profile

• 5+ years of technical product management experience focused on data platforms, MDM, or complex API integrations.
• Strong decision‑making ability, prioritizing data integrity over UI polish when needed.
• Excellent communication skills to align cross‑functional teams and convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Daily use of Postman for API testing.
• Deep understanding of relational databases and system architecture.
