Senior Portfolio Application Engineer - Thin Bonding

About the role

Join 3M as a Senior Portfolio Application Engineer focused on Thin Bonding. You will collaborate with global teams to develop high‑impact bonding solutions and support new product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Application Engineering, Product Development, Sales and Marketing to create and replicate bonding applications for the IATD Thin Bonding portfolio.
• Identify optimal 3M solutions by understanding customer needs, conducting tests, and analyzing results.
• Prepare written reports and presentations to communicate findings to customers and internal teams.
• Generate launch documentation, demonstration tools, videos and training materials for new products.
• Gather Voice of Customer insights, propose new product ideas and perform competitive analysis.
• Diagnose and resolve customer application issues promptly.
• Participate in early‑morning or evening meetings with global colleagues as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• At least three years of experience with polymers or adhesives.
• Minimum two years of experience in Application Engineering.
• Valid driver’s license and legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Willingness to work on‑site at the Maplewood, MN location at least four days a week and travel up to 20% domestically/internationally.
