Senior Multicraft Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Senior Multicraft Maintenance Technician provides electrical and mechanical maintenance for processing and plant support equipment, including extruders, compressed air, water, vacuum, feeder, dust collection, and die exhaust systems. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all processing and support equipment, following APNA safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and maintain complex electrical systems such as motor drives, HMI’s, variable frequency drives, and PLC‑controlled equipment up to 480 V.
• Operate PIV equipment (forklift, scissor lift, articulating boom truck, portable hoist, cherry picker) and document work in the eMaintenance system.
• Collaborate with contractors during equipment repairs and improvements, and train other maintenance personnel on I&E systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least 7 years of related maintenance experience (or technical school training with 5 years experience).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work at heights up to 30 ft, lift 50 lb, and navigate confined spaces.
• Demonstrated initiative, ability to work with minimal supervision, and strong communication with team members.

Required skills

• Advanced electrical troubleshooting proficiency.
• Programming and operation of variable frequency drive (VFD) systems.
• Interpretation and editing of PLC and machine control schematics.
• Reading and updating electrical drawings.
• Compliance with arc‑flash safety standards.
• Operation of PIV equipment (forklift, scissor lift, boom truck, hoist, cherry picker).
