Senior Instrument & Electronics Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Instrument & Electronics Technician to join our manufacturing team in Fowlerville. The role works the afternoon shift (approximately 4 pm‑midnight) with training provided on the day shift. You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on processing equipment such as extruders, compressed‑air, water, vacuum, feeder, dust‑collection and die‑exhaust systems.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and instrumentation systems, including motor drives, feeder controls, extrusion controls, HMIs and variable frequency drives.
• Collaborate with contractors during equipment upgrades and repairs.
• Operate PIV equipment safely, including forklifts, scissor lifts and articulating lifts.
• Follow all APNA safety guidelines and continuously seek improvements in safety and efficiency.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting.
• Ability to work independently on shift schedules and adapt to flexible start/end times.
• Strong commitment to safety and proactive problem‑solving.
