Senior Mechanical Aircraft Technician – H145 (2nd Shift)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Senior Mechanical Aircraft Technician for the H145 Final Assembly Line in Columbus, MS. This 2nd‑shift position (Monday‑Friday, 2:00‑10:30) involves fabricating, repairing and installing helicopter components and supporting specific helicopter programs.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals to determine dimensions, tolerances and alignment.
• Perform fabrication, repair and installation of aircraft parts using hand and power tools, measuring and test equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements and company specifications.
• Coordinate with material, supply and scheduling teams to secure parts, tools and equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of experience as an aviation mechanic.
• Aviation A&P license preferred but not required.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and apply standard shop practices.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 60 lb, stand, squat and work in environments with chemicals and moving aircraft.
