About the role
Square is seeking a senior leader to head the Strategic Account Management team for its Services vertical in the United States. The role focuses on retaining and expanding relationships with large leisure, entertainment, and health‑wellness merchants that use Square’s integrated, omnichannel solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Directly manage a distributed team of 6‑8 senior Strategic Account Managers, each handling 40‑60 merchant accounts.
- Own overall revenue growth and logo retention for the services portfolio.
- Provide one‑on‑one coaching, performance management, and career development for senior Account Managers.
- Design and implement data‑driven processes, training programs, and go‑to‑market initiatives to improve team effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to shape product tooling and support large‑scale merchant projects.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading high‑performing mid‑market or enterprise sales teams.
- Track record of driving revenue growth and customer advocacy in a competitive environment.
- Comfortable acting as both a player and a coach, with strong project‑leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast‑moving settings while maintaining focus on results.
