Senior Manager, Finance & Strategy

About the role

Samsara is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance and Strategy to lead financial planning and analysis for its Research & Development organization. The role partners directly with C‑level leaders to shape budget decisions, headcount planning, and strategic investments that drive the company’s IoT product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the finance lead for the R&D organization, advising senior leadership on budget trade‑offs, headcount, and infrastructure investments.
• Own the FP&A process for R&D and Supply Chain, building and maintaining forecast models.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform strategic judgments and identify optimization opportunities.
• Provide accurate financial guidance to leaders and investors, supporting corporate financial goals.
• Lead the financial planning and analysis processes across the R&D organization.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance leadership, preferably within technology or R&D environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills to partner with C‑level executives and cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting at scale.
