Senior Manager, Events

About the role

The Senior Manager, Events will lead the strategy and execution of high‑impact, premium events for STARZ under the Publicity umbrella. Reporting to the Vice President of Events, this role partners with Marketing, Programming, Social Media, Corporate Communications, Distribution, Legal and other internal teams to create buzz‑worthy experiences that amplify STARZ Originals and brand awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, produce and manage a full spectrum of events including series premieres, red‑carpet affairs, festivals (Comic‑Con, SXSW, Essence, etc.), talent dinners, press junkets, awards screenings, corporate communications events and set visits.
• Develop and oversee event budgets, negotiate venues, hotels and contracts, and secure sponsorships or partnerships as needed.
• Coordinate talent gifting programs, maintain gifting lists and manage vendor relationships to ensure positive talent relations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date event documentation such as run‑of‑shows, production timelines, checklists and status reports.
• Lead internal and external event teams, ensuring seamless communication among stakeholders, vendors and agencies.
• Represent STARZ as host at events and stay informed on industry trends, new venues and emerging event concepts.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 + years of experience executing events in the entertainment industry or a similarly fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated creativity, passion for high‑profile events and ability to generate buzz.
• Willingness to travel regularly as part of the role.
• Fast‑moving, adaptable professional who thrives in a dynamic, creative setting.
