Senior / Lead Data Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a talented Senior / Lead Data Analyst to join the Decision Science team of our partner. You will work remotely with cross‑functional teams to turn subscription data into actionable insights that drive growth, improve retention, and support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and Marketing to define KPIs and performance metrics across acquisition, engagement, retention, and churn.
• Analyze subscription customer behavior and proactively identify growth and retention opportunities.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to improve tracking, data models, and data quality.
• Support A/B testing and experimentation, from hypothesis formation to statistical analysis and post‑test evaluation.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Identify analytical gaps and improve data and reporting processes for subscription products.
• Establish and promote best practices for tracking, analytics, and measurement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Product Analyst, Decision Scientist, or similar role.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience writing production‑quality SQL queries.
• Strong background in experimental design, statistical analysis, A/B testing, and causal inference.
• 3+ years implementing custom tracking and analytics best practices using a Customer Data Platform such as Segment.
• Experience with BI and data‑visualisation tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
• Experience working with dbt or ETL environments and client‑side analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Amplitude).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management skills.
