Senior Interior Designer

About the role

A nationally recognized residential interior design studio is looking for an experienced interior designer to take on a leadership role with significant autonomy, overseeing luxury residential projects from concept through completion. Working closely with the Principal Designer, the successful candidate will manage clients, consultants, construction teams and project execution. The studio is known for creating timeless, personalized homes that blend classic design with fresh, expressive details.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple high-end residential projects from concept development through construction, installation, styling and project closeout.
• Serve as the primary client contact, handling presentations, meetings, design decisions, budgets, schedules and project communication.
• Develop and oversee interior design solutions including furnishings, space planning, finishes, lighting, millwork and custom design elements.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, vendors and trades to ensure accurate project execution.
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, documentation and installations while keeping projects well organized.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional interior design experience, including substantial experience in luxury residential design.
• Proven ability to lead residential projects independently through design, construction, furnishings and installation phases.
• Confident project leader with strong client management, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of residential architecture, construction processes, materials, detailing and construction documentation.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or comparable drafting software, and experience reviewing and coordinating architectural drawings.
