Senior Global Portfolio Innovation Manager

About the role

The Senior Global Portfolio Innovation Manager will drive the creation and launch of new consumer products within 3M's Home Improvement division, collaborating with cross‑functional teams worldwide to bring innovative solutions to market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of new products and platforms from discovery through post‑launch, coordinating with portfolio, marketing, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, R&D and Insight teams.
• Partner with R&D/Laboratory and Finance to build realistic business cases that define risks, rewards and resource requirements.
• Execute marketing deliverables throughout product development, including front‑end innovation activities, stage‑gate reviews, claims, positioning, packaging and launch planning.
• Define consumer learning objectives and develop research plans that address critical business questions for new product development.
• Influence and build networks across the organization and with external customers to secure program support, resources and execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• At least seven years of experience in marketing management or new‑product marketing in private, public, government or military settings.
• Minimum five years of project management or cross‑functional team leadership experience.
• Strong ability to collaborate with global, cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
