Senior Electronics Design & Characterization Engineer – Zonal BMS

About the role

The Electronics Test and Validation team ensures module‑level validation of all RV Tech ECUs. As a Senior Electronics Design and Characterization Engineer you will lead design reviews and hardware characterization for Zonal ECUs, providing early feedback to optimize schematics and verification methods.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed design verification and characterization test plans across all ECU program phases.
• Perform bench‑level characterization of high‑side/low‑side drivers, e‑fuses, PWM/H‑bridges, and diagnostic circuits.
• Lead electronic fuse testing, I2T characterization, and temperature repeatability studies.
• Write automation scripts and instrumentation drivers in Python, leveraging AI coding agents for rapid development.
• Analyze large characterization datasets with AI tools to identify drift, outliers, and failure clusters, then translate findings into design recommendations.
• Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to flash, test, and troubleshoot ECU firmware.

Required profile

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 7+ years of electronics design, characterization, and validation experience.
• Strong foundation in circuit analysis and hands‑on use of lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, DMMs, DAQ, SMUs, current probes, switch matrices).
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and data analysis, and demonstrated use of AI tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) for test code generation.
