Senior Civil Engineer - Project Manager

About the role

Wilson Engineers is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead and manage projects from concept through construction in our Reno/Minden, Nevada office. This role combines technical engineering expertise with project management responsibilities, serving as the primary liaison for clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project planning, scheduling, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and coordinate construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure high‑quality design and documentation.
• Perform building code analysis and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
• Conduct quality‑control reviews of internal and consultant deliverables.
• Manage construction administration activities such as submittal reviews, RFIs, site observations, and inspections.
• Support business development through client presentations, proposals, and relationship building.

Required profile

• Civil Engineering degree.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to manage staff and lead project teams.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Strong understanding of building codes and regulatory requirements.
