About the role
As the Senior Brokerage Operations Manager at Savvy, you will be the licensed principal of record for all trading activity and the primary operations partner to the General Counsel/CCO. This senior, high‑visibility position will shape the end‑to‑end trading desk function for a fast‑growing fintech wealth‑management platform.
Key responsibilities
- Build and own Savvy’s trading desk operation end‑to‑end, covering trade lifecycle, execution quality, and best‑execution review.
- Serve as the licensed principal (Series 7/24) with sign‑off authority on trades, account actions, and exceptions.
- Design and run the best‑execution program, holding execution venues accountable to quality standards.
- Own CAT/CAIS and Rule 605/606 regulatory trade reporting.
- Drive AI‑first automation to reduce manual reconciliation, exception detection, and compliance documentation.
- Act as the CCO’s primary operations counterpart on broker‑dealer regulatory matters and FINRA examination readiness.
- Develop and maintain audit‑trail and document‑versioning infrastructure for supervisory reviews.
- Strategically design account and cashiering operations, including money‑movement approvals and AML alert escalation.
- Manage the Fidelity relationship and transition vendor responsibilities from the previous owner.
Required profile
- 6‑8+ years of broker‑dealer operations experience, having built a brokerage/trading function from scratch.
- Series 7, 63, and 24 licenses.
- Deep knowledge of the trade lifecycle, best execution, and regulatory trade reporting (CAT/CAIS, Rule 605/606).
- Experience preparing for or supporting FINRA/SEC examinations.
- Comfort operating as a senior peer to Legal/Compliance and company leadership.
- AI‑first builder mindset with a proven record of automating manual operations.
- Background in a high‑growth fintech or startup environment.
