Security Specialist – Physical Security Operations

About the role

The Security Specialist supports physical security operations for the Special Operations Mission Training Center at Fort Bragg. The role ensures protection of government personnel, facilities, equipment, information and training resources while maintaining compliance with Army security regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and support Army physical security policies and procedures.
• Coordinate physical security actions and documentation, including facility access control and visitor processing.
• Operate and support the Special Operations Mission Training Center Electronic Security System and video surveillance.
• Issue and manage facility badges for authorized personnel, visitors, and training participants.
• Maintain security records, logs, and accountability documentation.

Required profile

• Associate degree (or six years of military experience or five years of physical‑security experience).
• Minimum five years of experience in Army physical security activities.
• Active Secret security clearance, maintained throughout employment.
• Completion of required security trainings (DISS, Threat Awareness, Anti‑Terrorism Level I, Operations Security, Cyber Awareness).
• Ability to perform physical duties such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lb.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Operation of electronic security systems and video surveillance equipment.
