Scheduling Analyst – Academic Course Scheduling

About the role

The Scheduling Analyst supports a centralized course scheduling model at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi by managing and analyzing course and classroom data, ensuring accurate entry, maintenance, reporting, and data integrity to promote student success.

Key responsibilities

• Produce a student‑centered academic schedule using predictive and historical data and collaborate with colleges on revisions.
• Manage workflow with departments for course schedule revisions and classroom requests, ensuring alignment with university policies.
• Coordinate data integration and validation between scheduling software and the Banner Student Information System in partnership with IT.
• Perform data entry, validation, and edits for course schedules and room assignments.
• Analyze scheduling and classroom utilization data each term and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Conduct audits to maintain accuracy and integrity of schedule data.
• Provide training, technical support, and documentation for scheduling software and processes.
• Support Registrar’s Office events such as registration and commencement and contribute to special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s acceptable).
• At least two years of experience in academic scheduling or higher‑education administration.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work outside regular hours and remotely when needed.
• Understanding of FERPA and student privacy standards.
