About the role
The Salt Director Residency is a full‑time development program designed to prepare healthy Salt Directors to lead from day one of a church plant or established Salt. Residents gain hands‑on ministry experience, structured education, exposure to other Salt Companies and mentorship to embody the character of a director.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day ministry leadership in an area such as associate directing, freshmen ministry, CGroups, leader care, evangelism, or captains.
- Participate in monthly development blocks covering leadership and responsibility topics across two semesters.
- Lead budgeting, fundraising, and ministry calendar planning for the Salt.
- Oversee pipelines that connect students, develop leaders, and send them into ministry.
- Attend exposure trips to observe other Salt Directors in meetings, midweek services, and full‑week immersion.
- Engage in weekly mentorship meetings to develop character and receive feedback.
Required profile
- Selected by a church to be developed as a director or sent by a church planter.
- Demonstrates Cornerstone staff values: Holy Ambition, Rooted Conviction, Strategic Generosity and Joy.
- Committed to Cornerstone Church membership and its expectations of faithfulness.
- Willing to own an area of ministry and be observed for growth.
- Open to monthly education, exposure trips, and weekly mentorship.
