Salaried GP – £11,856 per session – Low Visits, No Duty Doctor

About the role

This is a salaried General Practitioner position based in Glastonbury, offering a generous session rate of £11,856. The role is designed for GPs who prefer a collaborative environment, low patient volume, and the opportunity to develop interests in research, medical education, or training.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 4‑6 sessions per week, typically seeing 24 patients per day with 15‑minute appointments.
• Provide comprehensive clinical care using EMIS electronic health records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings with ANPs, physiotherapists, and pharmacists.
• Support colleagues as the nominated GP for queries, without traditional duty doctor on‑call duties.
• Engage in practice development activities, including teaching medical students and supporting GP trainees.

Required profile

• Qualified General Practitioner, registered with the GMC and on the UK performers list.
• Team‑oriented mindset, comfortable working in a collaborative practice.
• Interest in professional development such as research, teaching, or trainer roles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EMIS clinical software.
