Rotating Equipment Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to enhance the reliability of our plant’s rotating assets. The role works across operations, maintenance, turnarounds and projects, providing engineering support from concept through start‑up and ongoing performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support all phases of machinery engineering, from concept development and selection to start‑up, troubleshooting and failure analysis.
• Prepare, review and approve purchase specifications, engineering standards, policies and instructions for rotating equipment and related systems.
• Provide technical review and approval of vendor calculations, drawings and reports; witness and approve factory acceptance tests.
• Lead resolution of operational and reliability issues during start‑up and normal plant operation.
• Drive quality‑issue resolution during equipment manufacturing and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Develop and maintain condition‑monitoring and performance‑monitoring tools and procedures.
• Lead initiatives and studies to improve plant safety, reliability and economic performance of rotating assets.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (operations, maintenance, projects, construction) to share lessons learned and sustain improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial mechanical engineering experience.
