RF EW Analyst (SIGINT Forensics)

About the role

CACI is hiring a full-time RF EW Analyst for its Intelligence category, reporting to the C5ISR Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The role provides SIGINT subject-matter expertise for the technical forensics analysis of commercial-based technologies, supporting RF data collection, analysis and geospatial analysis. Minimum clearance required to start is TS/SCI, and travel of up to 25% across the continental US is expected.

Key responsibilities

• Use spectrum analysis field tools (Rohde & Schwarz PR100 / PR200) and RF simulation software (SPEED, BUILDER, CloudRF).
• Analyze RF environments, including complex terrain and socio-cultural influences, and assess signature deception, interference or fratricide risks with electronic warfare systems.
• Create RF propagation maps from observed signals and identify signal sets in a given environment.
• Analyze commercial technologies to characterize their RF footprint and explain the impact of signals to other teams.
• Answer RFIs on radio transceiver use in commercial and government technologies and coordinate with national intelligence agencies on data sharing and trend analysis.
• Provide technical red-team analysis and travel TDY up to 30 days at a time, including hazardous duty locations.

Required profile

• TS/SCI clearance.
• 5+ years of tactical SIGINT or electronic warfare operational experience.
• 5+ years of experience analyzing data from radio sensors and SIGINT team lead experience.
• Ability to complete the CRC and a preferred RF Propagation course (SOCO Wireless, Mode 1-5 certification preferred).
• Willingness to travel TDY up to 30 days at a time.

Required skills

• Good understanding of antenna construction and theory.
• Ability to perform RF path loss analysis.
• Understanding of how regulatory organizations affect signal choices for commercial technologies.
• Ability to work in a small team and adapt to changing requirements.
