Research & Development Leadership Development Program – Full‑Time Class of 2027

About the role

The Research & Development Leadership Development Program (RDLDP) is a two‑year, full‑time graduate program designed to develop engineering talent for medical device innovation. Participants rotate across projects that span product design, development, manufacturing and commercialization.

Key responsibilities

• Support product design, development, manufacturing and commercialization, proactively addressing technical challenges and risks.
• Design new products, create simulation and kinematics models, and perform stack‑up analysis.
• Develop automated medical devices, including instruments, advanced imaging, and user‑interface/experience.
• Conduct fundamental research, process/product development, test method development and equipment development.

Required profile

• Current graduate student on track to earn a master’s degree by June 2027 (preferred majors: bioengineering, computer, electrical, mechanical, material science, robotics, systems, software, optical).
• Minimum GPA of 3.3, leadership experience, and prior R&D internship with Johnson & Johnson is highly preferred.
• Willingness to relocate anywhere in the U.S. for program rotations.
