Research & Development Internship – Summer 2027

About the role

BASF’s Grow@BASF program offers undergraduate students a 12‑week, field‑based research and development internship within the Agricultural Solutions division. Interns work on real‑world projects, supporting agricultural trials and data analysis while gaining exposure to the innovation process behind BASF’s crop protection products.

Key responsibilities

• Support research & development projects and field research activities across multiple U.S. locations.
• Assist with agricultural trials, including seed treatment, fungicide, herbicide and other crop‑related research.
• Collect, organize and analyze trial and research data, documenting observations and providing feedback.
• Monitor trials, troubleshoot issues and suggest potential process improvements.
• Help set up, maintain and execute field trials and research projects.
• Collaborate with BASF scientists, researchers, agronomists and other team members.
• Participate in research tours, demonstrations, presentations and other learning opportunities.

Required profile

• Highly motivated undergraduate student pursuing a degree related to agriculture, biology, chemistry or a similar field.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
• Willingness to be mobile and relocate to various field sites across the United States.
• Available for a 12‑week summer internship period.
