Remote SEO Specialist – Directory Management & Off‑Page SEO

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized, detail‑oriented SEO Specialist to lead our directory management and off‑page SEO initiatives. The role is fully remote but based in Los Angeles, supporting a leading personal injury law firm.

Key responsibilities

• Research, create, verify, and continuously optimize directory listings for attorneys and the firm.
• Complete all verification steps (email, phone, documentation) with high accuracy.
• Maintain consistent NAP, descriptions, categories, and services across all listings.
• Lead verification efforts to ensure listings are indexed and visible in search engines and AI‑driven platforms.
• Build and manage citations on Google Business Profile, Apple Maps, Yelp, Yellow Pages, Facebook, and niche legal directories.
• Perform citation audits, clean‑up inconsistencies, and monitor profiles for accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather required attorney and firm information.
• Document progress of submissions, verifications, and statuses.
• Support off‑page SEO projects, including reputation management, backlink identification, and AI/LLM citation opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high‑volume directory projects.
• Familiarity with legal directories such as Avvo, FindLaw, and Justia.
• Experience with Reddit engagement, Quora posting, and digital PR outreach.

Required skills

• Yext, Chatmeter, Whitespark (or similar citation platforms)
• Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console
• Reddit optimization strategies
