Remote HR Generalist (India)

About the role

We are looking for a Remote HR Generalist to manage end‑to‑end HR operations for our distributed teams in India. You will act as the primary point of contact for onboarding, off‑boarding, employee relations, HRIS maintenance, and coordination with payroll and benefits partners across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, off‑boarding, and documentation.
• Maintain HRIS data accuracy, employee records, and standard operating procedures.
• Partner with managers on performance‑cycle administration, feedback, and documentation.
• Handle employee‑relations issues with confidentiality, empathy, and consistent policy application.
• Coordinate payroll inputs, benefits administration, and leave management with internal and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant employment regulations, including cross‑border considerations.
• Assist recruiting logistics such as interview scheduling, candidate communications, and offer paperwork.
• Contribute to engagement initiatives, training coordination, and HR reporting dashboards.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of HR Generalist or HR Operations experience in remote or distributed environments.
• Strong written communication skills for policies, SOPs, and employee‑facing guidance.
• Comfort collaborating across time zones and with global stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS/ATS tools such as Workday, BambooHR, HiBob, Rippling, or SAP SuccessFactors.
