Registered Nurse – Perinatal Unit (E6)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Perinatal Unit (E6). This full‑time clinical staff position provides direct nursing care to mothers and newborns in a collaborative, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to perinatal patients, including assessments, medication administration, and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor maternal and infant vital signs, support labor and delivery processes, and respond to emergencies.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Arkansas.
• Experience in perinatal, obstetric, or neonatal nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to providing high‑quality, compassionate patient care.
