Registered Nurse – Emergency Medicine (PRN) – Monroe, LA

About the role

This position leads patient care in the Emergency Department, applying the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members while ensuring quality outcomes and cultural sensitivity.

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
• Analyze data and knowledge to drive improvements and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Promote customer satisfaction and employee morale through professional nursing behaviors.
• Adapt communication and care approaches to respect patient privacy and cultural diversity.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• No prior work experience required; strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
