Registered Nurse – 5MN Intermediate Care (Night Shift)

About the role

This full‑time night‑shift position offers the opportunity to deliver high‑quality nursing care to patients in a 5‑minute intermediate care unit. You will lead a team, provide education, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary group to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to 5MN Intermediate patients during 12‑hour night shifts.
• Supervise and assign tasks to nursing team members.
• Assess learning needs of patients, families, and staff and deliver appropriate clinical education.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document detailed care instructions and monitor patient progress.

Required profile

• Current California RN license.
• BSN or MSN degree.
• BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years of step‑down/intermediate/progressive care RN experience.
• Preferred: PCCN and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and evaluate care plans.
• Official transcript or original diploma required at hire.

Required skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse) – preferred.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – preferred.
