Regional Safety Trainer

About the role

The Regional Safety Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering and maintaining safety and technical training programs for personnel across the region. Working under the Region Manager, the role supports the Regional Safety Supervisor with site audits and ensures compliance with corporate policies and the Line Clearance Qualification Standard (LCQS).

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and conduct safety and technical training, including advanced climbing, tree felling, rigging, roping and DOT pre‑trip inspections.
• Assist the Regional Safety Supervisor with job‑site safety audits and enforce regional and corporate safety policies.
• Verify crew certifications and LCQS training compliance at all levels.
• Administer the Driver Management Program and provide training on DOT equipment maintenance.
• Deliver First Aid and CPR training.
• Travel to out‑of‑state sites and respond to emergency storm work as required.

Required profile

• Ability to climb trees, operate a chainsaw and perform minor repairs on DOT equipment.
• Strong communication skills in English; Spanish bilingualism preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Valid DOT medical card and driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work physically demanding tasks.
