Recess Teacher – After‑School Program

About the role

Apollo After School is seeking enthusiastic recess teachers to supervise and engage elementary students during after‑school hours. This seasonal, part‑time position runs Monday‑Friday from 10 am to 2:30 pm for the 2026‑2027 school year.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a safe, high‑quality learning environment and manage recess activities.
• Assist with implementation of classroom curriculum and weekly lesson plans as needed.
• Ensure student safety, follow the schedule, and maintain routine.
• Support homework completion and encourage student participation.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; 18+ years old.
• At least one year of experience working with children ages 4‑10 in a school or after‑school setting.
• Ability to command respect, solve problems, and create a caring educational atmosphere.
• CPR/First Aid certification.

Required skills

• Classroom management.
