R&D Scientist – Functional Beverage Development

About the role

Everyday Dose is building an R&D bench to create the next generation of functional beverages. The R&D Scientist will partner with the Director of Product & Innovation to design, test, and commercialize new coffee‑based formulations that deliver focus, calm, and energy without the drawbacks of traditional coffee.

Key responsibilities

• Develop functional beverage prototypes from benchtop to production‑ready formulas.
• Iterate coffee bases across multiple SKUs, evaluating flavor, solubility, mouthfeel, and ingredient compatibility.
• Design and execute shelf‑life, stability, and oxidation studies, reporting data‑driven reformulation recommendations.
• Collaborate with Quality Manager and external labs for nutritional, microbial, and packaging analyses.
• Maintain version‑controlled formulation records, including batch sheets, trial reports, and sensory evaluation documents.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities while preserving sensory and functional integrity.

Required profile

• Demonstrated bench experience in functional beverage development.
• Strong understanding of sensory, solubility, and stability challenges in coffee systems.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, quality, and regulatory teams.
