About the role

Infosys is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its Engineering unit in San Jose, CA. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality software solutions through automated testing, mobile functional test automation, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements during elicitation.
• Facilitate design discussions and capture design decisions for development teams.
• Develop, code, and integrate new features while ensuring system stability.
• Perform code reviews, maintain repositories, and manage version control.
• Define and execute test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks.
• Resolve production issues and propose preventive measures.
• Maintain comprehensive records of code changes, testing techniques, and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirements to implementation.
• Experience translating complex requirements into actionable tasks.
• Hands‑on coding experience with a focus on design.
