Quality Coordinator

About the role

Avancez Assembly is seeking a Quality Coordinator to ensure zero‑defect production in its assembly operations. The role focuses on maintaining high customer satisfaction by leading problem‑solving activities, coaching team members on quality practices, and addressing quality concerns on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Perform safety‑first work and help maintain site safety standards.
• Communicate quality status, set quality goals, and deliver training to improve overall product quality.
• Conduct quality control inspections, checks, and tests on materials, parts, and products throughout the assembly process.
• Support internal, external, and layered process audits; identify gaps and report results to management.
• Visit customer plants to investigate quality performance and handle product returns.
• Evaluate materials against quality requirements, identify supplier and internal defects, and maintain quality test data files.
• Generate quality‑related reports and perform any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of quality control experience, including at least 1 year in an automotive manufacturing/assembly environment.
• No travel required.
• Strong sense of urgency and focus on customer satisfaction.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949:2016 quality management systems.
• Experience with quality control inspections and audit processes.
• Ability to analyze quality test data and produce reports.
• Basic mathematics and computer proficiency.
• Familiarity with production systems, module product knowledge, and error‑proofing techniques.
