About the role
Join the U.S. Army Medicine as a Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Officer. You will provide comprehensive respiratory care to Soldiers, their families, and patients in intensive care units while contributing to the advancement of military medical research.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat respiratory ailments in active‑duty personnel and dependents.
- Provide critical care management for patients in intensive care settings.
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans for pulmonary conditions.
- Participate in research projects aimed at improving respiratory therapies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality patient care.
Required profile
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited U.S. institution.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the United States, DC, or a U.S. territory.
- Eligibility for board certification and completion of at least one year of approved GME internship.
- Ability to meet commissioning criteria for the U.S. Army Reserve.
- Permanent U.S. residency.
