Property & Casualty Claims Associate

About the role

Join the State of Georgia’s Department of Administrative Services as a Property & Casualty Claims Associate. You will help protect the state’s assets by reviewing, investigating, and evaluating a variety of insurance claims. The position offers a hybrid work environment and a competitive salary range.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned claims across multiple lines of insurance, including general liability, auto liability, cyber, and other coverages, coordinating the full claim lifecycle from incident reporting to closure.
• Analyze claim trends, exposures, and recurring incidents to recommend risk‑reduction strategies, control costs, and improve workplace safety.
• Maintain organized claim files, support audit readiness, and contribute to departmental continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED plus at least five years of relevant experience, including one year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Exceptional analytical, investigative, and critical‑thinking abilities with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience using Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with claims management systems.
