Project Manager - Store Construction

About the role

SKIMS is seeking a detail‑driven Project Manager to lead the development and construction of new retail environments, including flagship stores, pop‑ups, experiential activations and office spaces. The role bridges design and execution, ensuring each project reflects the brand’s aesthetic from concept through opening.

Key responsibilities

• QA/QC construction drawings at DD, CD, and IFC stages to ensure design accuracy.
• Support onboarding of design architects and enforce SKIMS standards from day one.
• Assist in design development and production of construction documentation.
• Coordinate consultants and vendors—including production architects, engineers, furniture vendors, and general contractors—and maintain project schedules.
• Manage all pre‑construction activities such as permit acquisition, utility coordination, and distribution of project contact lists.
• Travel to construction sites to verify that execution aligns with design intent.
• Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with design specifications.
• Create and monitor construction budgets, handling modifications and alterations as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail or commercial construction project management.
• Strong design eye with the ability to translate aesthetic concepts into built environments.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple complex projects in parallel.
• Effective communication with design architects, architects of record, and contractors.
• Detail‑oriented mindset where execution quality is paramount.
