Project Manager – Protection and Control

About the role

As a Project Manager on the Grid Automation team, you will lead automation and protection projects for high‑voltage substations, delivering state‑of‑the‑art digital solutions to internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end projects in protection, control, and HMI for HV substations.
• Oversee project budget, resource allocation and ensure financial compliance.
• Guarantee delivery within schedule, budget and quality standards.
• Handle risk, opportunity and claim management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support proposal development during the offering phase.
• Track progress, manage changes and claims, and provide regular stakeholder updates.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, schedules and reports.
• Ensure all deliverables meet required quality standards and best practices.

Required profile

• University degree in electrical, electronic engineering, automation or a related field.
• 5+ years of project‑management experience in protection and control systems for HV/MV substations.
• Project‑management certification (e.g., PMP, IPMA) is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder‑management, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and relocate to Raleigh, NC or Orlando, FL.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
