About the role
Alcon is seeking a Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives within Commercial Operations and the Data & Analytics Center of Excellence. The role focuses on delivering digital transformation, analytics adoption, and process innovation projects.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and deliver Commercial Operations and Data Analytics initiatives, including Salesforce development projects, on time, within scope, and budget.
- Collaborate with COE teams, franchise and regional leaders, IT, and external vendors to define requirements and ensure alignment.
- Serve as primary liaison between the COE and internal/external project teams, tracking progress and delivery.
- Apply agile, predictive, or hybrid methodologies to manage development, testing, and deployment cycles.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; escalate issues for timely resolution.
- Track performance using KPIs and dashboards; provide status updates to leadership.
- Drive innovation through automation, analytics, and process optimization.
- Support change management with communication and training strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, data governance, and security standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (e.g., high school +13 years, Associate +9 years, M.S. +2 years, PhD +0 years).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PMI‑ACP, PRINCE2, etc.).
- Fluent English reading, writing, and communication skills.
Required skills
- Salesforce development and administration.
- Agile, predictive, and hybrid project management methodologies.
- Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt or higher) – preferred.
- Systems Thinking – preferred.
- Risk and issue management.
- Reporting and analytics (KPIs, dashboards).
- Change management and training.
- Data governance and security standards compliance.
