Project Manager – Architectural Metal, Glass & Signage

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager / Project Engineer to lead projects in a high‑end architectural fabrication facility that specializes in metal, glass systems, and signage. The role supports large‑scale projects for major General Contractors and Construction Managers across the New York metropolitan area.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, review scopes, and develop project schedules and Gantt charts.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams to create, revise, and approve shop drawings.
• Solicit vendor pricing, assist senior management with estimating, and manage material purchasing.
• Arrange fabrication and delivery of samples, ensuring compliance with contract documents.
• Issue work orders to production, oversee fabrication, and guarantee proper execution of manufactured products.
• Coordinate installation activities, maintain field documentation, and confirm client acceptance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, construction management, or mechanical engineering within architectural metals, glass systems, or signage.
• Punctual, organized, and able to multitask across multiple active projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, details, and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Metal fabrication knowledge (aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass).
• Glass system and architectural assembly expertise.
• Experience with plastics, wood, paint systems, screen printing, engraving, waterjet, laser cutting, CNC machining, and LED lighting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word), AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite.
