Project Geotechnical Engineer – California

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our geotechnical team in California. You will work on a variety of public and private sector projects, applying your expertise in soil and rock mechanics to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary and forensic geotechnical investigations and geological field work.
• Perform field inspections, testing, and laboratory data review for construction projects.
• Analyze data and prepare detailed geotechnical reports covering soil conditions, stability, and foundation design.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to develop effective design solutions.
• Manage projects from planning through completion, including cost proposals and budget tracking.
• Review plans and drawings for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate findings to owners, designers, and authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification in California.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities with attention to detail.
