Project Director, Corrections Technical Assistance

About the role

Abt Global is seeking a Project Director to lead a technical assistance project that trains prison staff and audits workflow processes to protect the wellbeing of incarcerated individuals. The position will be active only if the project is awarded to Abt Global.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and control execution of the five tasks defined in the Statement of Work.
• Oversee all tasks and sub‑tasks, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Provide expert guidance to team members and develop detailed schedules and work plans.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the contract, coordinating with OJP, government CORs, task monitors, and customer personnel.

Required profile

• Master’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or PhD with at least 8 years.
• Degree in criminal justice or a related field is highly desired.
• Experience with PREA implementation, including overseeing PREA audits and working with DOJ‑certified PREA auditors, is preferred.
