Project Coordinator

About the role

KW Landscape Architects is looking for a Project Coordinator to join its Austin office. The role supports the design, documentation, and coordination of landscape architecture projects from early concept through construction documentation. It is ideal for a developing professional with a strong technical foundation who wants to grow into a trusted project team member.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate landscape architectural drawings, including planting, hardscape, grading, lighting, materials, and permit plans.
• Develop planting designs using the firm’s plant palette and produce clear, accurate documentation.
• Create material and lighting schedules in collaboration with the project team and consultants.
• Draft construction details under leadership guidance while deepening knowledge of construction methods.
• Review consultant deliverables for completeness and accuracy, and follow up on missing or unclear information.
• Maintain project timelines, provide status updates, and support task assignment coordination.
• Contribute to design discussions, ask thoughtful questions, and strengthen judgment around documentation quality.
• Mentor junior Landscape Associates by reviewing work, answering questions, and modeling best practices.
